Jay Haque

Jay is a full-spectrum doula. Supporting folks in any life transitions/reproductive experience they are having. Jay was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh and experienced forced ration and is now a settler in Treaty 13, colonially known as Toronto. They hold a B.A. in Sociology as well as a Social Service Worker Diploma, in addition to all their doula training. They are also certified in First Aid training and is working towards being a perinatal mental health professional.They have been working as care workers for the last decade, both within various institutions and working for themselves. They are committed to providing latest evidence-based information to their clients so clients can make informed decisions about their journey.Within their work, they hold a person/family-centered approach to the support that they show up with for each client they connect with. They believe building a relationship with their client is vital to them and the support they show up with.During their downtime they re-center/ground themselves by hanging out with their two cats, tending to their plants, being immersed in nature, and learning about social justice movements and how they can support them.

Stacia Stewart

Stacia (she/her) is a Black, queer parent of 3, living in Tkaronto/Toronto, Ontario. Stacia lives with different disabilities as do some of her family members. She works as a doula, researcher, community mentor, community health promoter & reproductive justice advocate. For the past 17 years Stacia has led a multi-service perinatal health promotion program in south Toronto focused on community members with urgent support needs in pregnancy. She also has experience with adoption and volunteers as a mentor for new adoptive parents. Stacia recently completed a master's degree in education and has contributed to published research on infant feeding, food security and homelessness in perinatal populations, and healthcare gaps in Toronto's Black community. She has been a lay birth companion for 30 years, and professional doula for 11 years.

Desiree is a Certified Postpartum Doula and Sleep Consultant who brings a wealth of expertise to every family she supports. With additional certifications in Infant Massage, Babywearing, Emergency First Aid, Ontario Food Handling, Infant and Early Mental Health Promotion, and Black Mental Health First Response training, she’s ready to provide well-rounded, thoughtful care. Desiree is passionate about helping families feel calm, confident, and supported during the fourth trimester and beyond. Her approach is rooted in empowering parents to embrace self-compassion, learn from the ups and downs, and let go of the pressure to be “perfect.”
